Setup takes about one minute per OIO Bulb. This can sometimes take a bit longer if device firmware needs to be updated.

OIO Bulb supports your circadian rhythm by giving you the right light at the right time. Day Mode light contains enough energy in the Critical Circadian Wavelengths (440-495nm) to signal to your circadian system that it’s daytime at normal indoor lighting levels. Evening Mode light removes those wavelengths, ensuring you can easily get to sleep when needed. When you turn on your lights at night, Night Mode light removes a wider range of wavelengths to avoid any stimulation of your circadian system when adapted to the dark.

OIO Bulb will switch between modes automatically based on a schedule. This schedule is first generated when you tell OIO App what is the earliest time anyone in your home would want to wake up naturally, and can be adjusted manually in the global settings.

Yes! The mode change times can be adjusted in the global settings, and the brightness and color temperature can be adjusted in each room’s schedule. Additionally, you can add schedule events in each room to turn the lights on or off, or to adjust the brightness and color temperature within the boundaries of the circadian mode for that time of day.

OIO Bulb uses a proprietary four color system called CLOV (Cyan, Lime, Orange, Violet) to create white light with or without blue. White light made with Cyan, Lime, and Orange will have a peak of energy right where your circadian system is most sensitive – 480 nanometers. White light made with Lime, Orange, and Violet will have effectively zero energy between 440 and 495 nanometers as the Violet is below that range and Lime is above it. By using only the Lime, Orange, and Violet LEDs starting at around 3 hours before bed, you can avoid the wavelengths that suppress melatonin and naturally fall asleep when ready.

OIO App works with iOS 13 or later or Android 10 or later.

The first time you sign in, OIO App will ask you for the earliest time someone in your home would like to naturally wake up. This will set the initial schedule. Afterwards, Wake-Up times can be set for each room, and the transition to Evening and Night Modes can be adjusted for the whole home.

Light Modes are designed to either stimulate your circadian system to clearly communicate daytime or to avoid stimulating that system to allow you to naturally wind down for sleep. The timing of these modes is based on 8 hours of sleep with 3 hours before to wind down.

Yes! OIO App organizes your lights into rooms and will control all lights in a room together by default. Going into the advanced settings screen allows you to control lights individually and override the circadian schedule to use all light modes.
