Are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth required to use OIO Bulbs?
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are required for full functionality in OIO Bulbs. In normal operation, OIO Bulbs use Wi-Fi to set their internal clocks, update their schedules, and receive commands from OIO App. Bluetooth is used primarily in setup to connect OIO Bulbs to your Wi-Fi network.
What is OIO, and how is it different from traditional lightbulbs?
OIO is a smart light that helps your body feel awake during the day and ready to sleep at night. Unlike regular or smart bulbs that stay the same, OIO changes its light in real time to match what your body needs – more energizing light during the day, and calming light at night to help you wind down.
What’s included in my OIO order?
Your order comes with OIO Bulbs (choose A19 or BR30), an OIO Loop, a quick-start guide, and free access to OIO App on Apple or Android.
How do I install the OIO Bulb?
With the OIO App, scan the QR code on the bulb. Then just screw the OIO Bulb into any standard light socket, turn the light on, and follow in-app instructions to finish setup and make it your own.
What is OIO Loop?
To make our invisible technology visible, we created OIO Loop. When you look through it, you’ll see the hidden wavelengths of light that appears as a rainbow. With Loop, you can watch the appearance and disappearance of blue light, as OIO bulb shifts between day and evening modes. It’s a easy way to watch the science in action.
How does OIO Loop work with OIO Bulb and OIO App?
OIO Loop helps you see what type of light OIO Bulb is giving off, based on the settings in the OIO App (Day Mode, Evening Mode or Night Mode). Just hold Loop in front of your OIO bulb at an angle, then slowly raise or lower Loop until you see a rainbow stretched along the lens – those colors represent the light spectrum and show you the type of energy the bulb is emitting.
